We saw the sweetest thing today

Our baby.

Sure, it is still too early to decipher anything. Heck, the ultra sound photo we got is practically just black, but we got to see the most beautiful, blinking white blob. The heartbeat ♥ . 118 bpm, to be exact.

It was beautiful. I got teary, I think J did too. I was convinced that I was going to cry. a lot. But I think the nervousness got to me while we were waiting in the room for a good 20 minutes until the doctor came in.

There is actually a tiny baby growing away in there. Not just an empty sac, not in the tube, not too tiny to see, but perfect. In fact, this amazing little being is measuring an entire day ahead of schedule :-)

The other fantastic news - we have already graduated to OB! As much as I liked our RE and a few of the nurses at the practice, I have never been so happy to say goodbye to those faces as I as today.

The doc asked for the details of our OB so that she could send our records there, which caught me off guard. I haven't even looked at OB's yet! So I expressed to her that I needed her guidance and recommendations and she was happy to hand them over. Now the project is to get online and see if I can find any reviews on these docs. Enough to make an educated decision and not just a shot in the dark anyway.

Once I call them, I imagine that they will want to see me in a couple of weeks. I will be 8 weeks by then and I think that is when most call you in. Though, I could be wrong and we may have to wait until 10. I hope that isn't the case :-)
