BETA = 138!!!

Translation for peeps not familiar with the frequently used IF terms - I am PREGNANT!

We tested on Saturday morning and got a faint line. Sunday darker line. Monday digital spelled it out.

I *knew* that I was with all of the positives, but I was still second guessing everything today until I heard from the nurse. She said that 138 was a nice, good, solid number, which makes me soo happy and was exactly what I needed to hear.

However, it all seems so anti-climactic. I mean - I could have probably prevented that by waiting for the results of the beta and not testing - but really? Who can do that?

I guess I just always pictured myself doing cartwheels, crying, J picking me up and whirling me around exclaiming "We did it!!", after trying for over two years to get to this point. Instead, he is just so worried and scared that something will go wrong. Don't get me wrong. I am petrified. However, I need to be positive and I expressed to him that he needs to be as well. For me.

We are both still in a state of disbelief I think. I am not sure when it will become real to us. Maybe when we are able to see something or hear a heart beat. Whatever it is, I want it to be soon.

The best part of this so far was the call to my parents this evening to tell them the news. My mom screamed and my dad cried. He cried so much he couldn't talk. It makes me so happy to be able to make them so happy. To be able to give them another grandchild.

For now, the pregnancy stays within the immediate family and in the blogosphere. Hopefully in 8 weeks we will be able to proudly announce that we made it. That we will be having a beautiful little bundle of joy expected to make their entrance into the world on October 25th, 2010. (although I am secretly hoping that the babe can maybe have the coolest birthday ever - 10.10.10 ;-)
