Yipeeeeeeeeee!!! For some reason, I was really nervous about this beta. I mean, I went 7 entire days wondering if it had taken a turn the opposite direction. Trying to feel the symptoms that I felt previously, which I think I was concentrating too hard on because I couldn't quite decipher them.
The nurse said that everything looks fantastic with those numbers. She wanted to let me know that should we not see a heartbeat next week - not to freak out, that the u/s is normally scheduled in the middle of the 7th week and this will be more like the middle of the 6th week for us and we are doing it then because the RE will be on vacation Week 7. I am glad that she gave me the heads up. Now I think I will kind of just go into the u/s expecting to see the sac and if we see the heartbeat - that would just be the cherry on top :-)
I have had a crazy busy week at work this week, which has helped it pass by, but also made it drag like I couldn't believe. I decided since I have already put in my 40 hours for the week as of right now, I will be taking a 1/2 day tomorrow and am excited about going north to visit our families.
My 5 year old nephew has been asking when we are coming to visit and is excited that (as with years past) I will be able to attend the annual sledding party held by his school/pre-K. We thought about skipping out on the drive due to the weather, but how could I resist a request from the cutest little 5 year old on the planet?
We are also going to be attending Mardi-Gras with some friends. One of which is aware of the pregnancy the others however, are not. It is going to be a challenge to keep it a secret without a beer in my hand, but I think I should be good with a club soda, cranberry & lime :-)
I hope that everyone is having a fantastic Thursday!
Congrats Molly! I am so happy for both of you :)
