Thanks to Emily at A Hope and A Wish from a Petri Dish, I was able to find the cool HCG graph that you see above.
It is starting to become a bit more real and I am so excited. I still can't believe that it is actually happening for us, but I am embracing it with everything I've got.
I go back in a week for a 3rd blood draw/beta and then our first ultrasound will be on March 4th. I will be 6 weeks, 4 days at that point and I hope that we will be able to see the heartbeat! The nurse mentioned that I would come in for the u/s the week of the 8th, which would put me at 7 weeks but the RE is on vacation that week, so instead of wait another week, I opted for the last possible appointment before she leaves :-)
I am feeling good. I had some cramping yesterday, which I have come to realize was mostly gas caused by a gigantic salad that I had for lunch. Apparently your body doesn't digest as fast when you are pregnant and boy did I feel it. I also had a pounding headache because I tried to be hardcore and eliminate my one cup of 1/2 caff coffee in the morning. Screw that, I felt like crap all day. From what I am reading, I see that most docs agree that 2 cups or less/day is acceptable. I am drinking 1/4 of that, so I see no reason to worry, really.
The nurse discussed with me today that I need to get in to see my primary care provider so that I can have my thyroid levels checked. I take medication for hypothyroid and apparently that can need to be adjusted throughout pregnancy, so I need to stay on top of that. They also want to switch my anti-anxiety medication to one safer for pregnancy. As soon as they said that, I wanted to get in to see the Doc YESTERDAY. However, I can't see him until Tuesday. I am sure that is fine, but it still makes me worry.
Everyone please cross your fingers for my lovely lady Kim at Last American Girl Standing as she goes in for her retrieval tomorrow and her babies will be made. She held my hope when I couldn't find it and I am here to hold hers if need be.
Happy Thursday!
Yayyyy for another great beta!!!! Sounds like things are coming along just like they should! I am soooo happy for you.
ReplyDeleteI think you will have no issues hearing the heartbeats at 6 weeks and 4 days. I heard mine at 6 weeks 3 days...and they were over a 100. It's the coolest thing ever! I can't wait to hear how your experience with it is!!!!!!!!
Muah!
